USA Sales Tax Information

Modified on Thu, 31 Jul at 3:30 PM

Please note: This notice covers our sales tax requirements on Fan payments occurring in the USA.

Hidden will add sales tax to certain Fan payments made in the USA.

Recently, many states have passed laws requiring “online marketplaces” and marketplace facilitators to apply sales tax to transactions. Originally aimed at larger streaming services, these laws are now interpreted in ways that impact various types of companies, including Hidden.

Whether sales tax is applied to your Fan payment depends on your location and the type of payment being made. Not all states require sales tax on transactions, and not all payment types will be taxable.

If sales tax is charged in your location, you will see an additional line item on your receipt for sales tax. Each state that requires sales tax will apply its own rate, which may vary depending on the location of the Fan/payer.

The sales tax collected by Hidden will be paid directly to your local state authorities.
