Tips for Creators: how do I grow on Hidden?

What tends to work here, from watching what successful creators actually do.

One

Post regularly rather than heavily

A few times a week, consistently, beats a burst followed by silence. People subscribe expecting a rhythm, and the month they notice nothing arrived is the month they cancel.

Short video performs best. The feed is scrollable and visual, so movement catches attention faster than a still does. Mixing formats keeps the feed from feeling repetitive.

Put your link everywhere

Bios, stories, pinned posts, link-in-bio pages. Most creators who feel invisible are simply not linked from anywhere people already are.

Tease publicly and let the link do the work. A cropped or suggestive version elsewhere, with the full thing here, is both safer for your other accounts and more effective than posting everything openly. See Can I promote my Hidden account on social media?

Tag accurately

Tags and categories are how people find you without knowing your name. Tag what the post actually contains rather than what is popular, since the wrong audience arriving and leaving does nothing for you. See Tags and categories.

Reply, within reason

Fans renew for people they feel some connection to. A welcome message when someone subscribes, and replies that sound like you rather than a template, do more for retention than most things.

You are not obliged to reply to everything, and you should not feel you are. Set the pace you can sustain rather than one that burns you out by month three.

Use more than one way to earn

Subscriptions are steady but they are not the whole picture. Paid messages, individual paid posts, and bundles all add to it, and custom content commands more than anything off the shelf if you are comfortable making it. Price it here and sell it here.

Six

Protect yourself

Never give out your real name, phone number, address, or anything that locates you. Fans who push for it are not the ones who spend the most.

Keep payment on the platform. Anyone asking you to take money another way is either scamming you or costing you your account, and often both.

Report anything that crosses a line rather than only blocking it. Blocking is private and tells us nothing, so the person simply moves on to someone else.

Seven

Know the rules before you post

Nobody else in your content without full verification and a signed release. Nothing copyrighted. Nothing on the prohibited list. Checking beforehand takes a minute, and a restriction after the fact costs a good deal more.
