We collect tax information because the law requires us to, and we report it to tax authorities where we are required to. It is not used for anything else and it is never shown on your profile.
What we report, and to whom
| United States | W-9 information, reported to the IRS. A 1099 is issued where required. |
| European Union | DAC7 information, reported to the relevant tax authority. |
These are legal obligations rather than choices we have made, and they apply to every platform that pays people in these regions.
What we do not do
Your tax information is not shown on your profile, not visible to fans, and not shared with other creators. It is held to the same standards as everything else we hold about you, and it is not used for marketing or passed to anyone outside the reporting obligations above.
Your legal name is not connected to your creator identity anywhere a fan can see.
Common questions
+Will my tax authority know what I do?
They receive the reporting entity's details and your earnings figures. The reporting is about income rather than content.
+Can I see what has been reported about me?
+Do you keep this after I delete my account?
Tax and transaction records are kept for the periods the law requires, which is separate from your account. Everything else goes with the account.
+Where can I read the detail?
Our Privacy Policy covers what we hold, why, and for how long.
