How Hidden charges appear on your statement
Last updated 5 August 2026
Hidden charges do not appear as Hidden on your statement. They appear under the name of our billing partner. If the date and amount match something you bought on Hidden, the charge is ours.
What you will see
| GAIA bill@gaiadig.com | A Hidden purchase or subscription renewal |
| DION DIGITAL LTD | A Hidden purchase or subscription renewal |
Your bank may shorten, capitalise, or add a location to these. The wording can differ slightly by country and by bank, but every Hidden charge uses one of these two names.
We never use the word adult, or any description of content, in a statement descriptor.
Check whether a charge is yours
| 1. Match the amount Compare it against your subscriptions and any tips or purchases from that day. |
| 2. Match the date Renewals bill on the same date each cycle. A charge dated one or two days later than you expected is still normal, because banks post at their own pace. |
| 3. Match the card The last four digits on the statement should match the card saved on your Hidden account. |
| 4. Check your Hidden receipts Every charge has a matching entry in your account, with the date, the amount, and what it was for. |
If all four line up, the charge is a Hidden purchase you made.
Why it does not say Hidden
We process payments through a billing partner rather than billing you directly. This is how most subscription platforms work. It keeps payments running reliably across different countries and banks, and it means the name of the platform does not appear on a document other people in your household may see.
The partner is authorised to bill on our behalf. Your card details are held by the payment processor, not by Hidden, and we do not pass purchase details to anyone else.
If you do not recognise the charge
Contact us before you open a bank dispute.
A dispute closes our ability to look into the charge or refund you directly, and it takes several weeks to resolve either way. If you get in touch first, we can usually tell you what the charge was for the same day, and refund it faster than a bank dispute would.
Email our billing team at bill@hidden.com and we will identify the charge for you.
Include all three of these, or we will have to write back and ask:
| The date the charge appeared |
| The exact amount and currency |
| The last four digits of the card |
Never send us your full card number, your CVV, or your card expiry date. We do not need them and we will never ask for them.
Before you get in touch, check whether someone else with access to the card may have used it. Shared and family cards are the most common explanation for a charge nobody recognises.
If you believe your card has been used without your permission, contact your bank as well, so they can secure the card.
Common questions
+Will the descriptor change?
It can. If you have been billed under one name and later see the other, both are Hidden.
+Why is there a small charge I did not expect?
Some banks place a temporary authorisation to verify the card. It disappears on its own, usually within a few days, and you are not charged for it.
+Can I ask for a different descriptor?
No. The descriptor is set by the billing partner and is the same for everyone.
+Does the charge show what I bought?
No. The descriptor shows the billing name and the amount, nothing else. It never shows the creator, the content, or the type of purchase.
