How is content priced on Hidden?

Creators set their own prices. Hidden does not decide what anything costs, or which content is free and which is paid. Prices are shown before you buy, and you only ever pay for what you choose.
The ways content is priced
Free
Most creators post some content publicly. You can follow an account and see this without paying anything.
Subscription
A monthly price for access to everything a creator puts behind their subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel. Some creators offer a longer bundle at a lower monthly rate, paid in one go at the start.
Paid post
An individual post with its own price, bought once. A subscription does not include these unless the creator has said so.
Paid message
A message you unlock for a set price. You see the price before you pay, and it is charged once.
Tip
Not a price at all. A tip is a voluntary payment you choose to send, and it does not unlock anything by itself.
Why prices differ between creators
Each creator decides what to charge, based on what they make and how often they post. There is no standard price and no recommended one. A higher price does not mean more content, and a lower one does not mean less.
Every price on Hidden is in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate, so the figure on your statement may differ slightly.
When prices change
Creators can change their prices whenever they want. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
Discounts and promotional prices are set by the creator and can be withdrawn at any time. Once an offer has ended it cannot be reinstated, including if you were part way through deciding.
Common questions
+Does my subscription include everything a creator posts?
It includes everything they put behind the subscription. Individual paid posts and paid messages are separate, and a creator can price those on top.
+Can I negotiate a price with a creator?
That is between the two of you. Creators control their own pricing and are free to offer or refuse anything. We do not get involved either way.
+Can Hidden make a creator lower their price?
No. Pricing is entirely the creator's decision.
+Why is there a minimum price?
Every payment carries a processing cost, so very small amounts are not workable. The smallest payment you can send is $5.
+I paid for a post and it is now free.
Creators can change what they charge for at any time, including making something free later. A purchase is not refunded when that happens.
