How transactions and charges work
Last updated 5 August 2026
Every charge on Hidden comes from something you bought or a subscription renewing. All prices are in US dollars, and every charge appears in your account with the date, the amount, and what it was for.
What you can be charged for
| Purchase | Repeats | Charged |
| Subscription | Yes | When you subscribe, then on each renewal date |
| Tip | No | Immediately when you send it |
| Pay-per-view message | No | When you unlock the message |
| Store purchase | No | At checkout |
| Wallet credits | No | When you top up, not when you spend |
Subscriptions are the only thing that repeats. Everything else is charged once, at the moment you buy it.
When subscriptions renew
A subscription renews on the same date each month, starting from the day you first subscribed. Subscribe on the 14th and you are charged on the 14th of every month until you cancel.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not reverse the one you have already paid, and you keep access until that period ends.
Currency
All prices are shown and charged in US dollars. We do not charge in any other currency.
If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own exchange rate, and some banks add a foreign transaction fee on top. This is why the amount on your statement can be slightly higher than the price you saw on Hidden. That difference comes from your bank, not from us, and we cannot refund it.
A charge a little above the listed price is almost always conversion or a bank fee. Your bank can tell you which, and the fee is usually listed separately on your statement.
Verifying a payment
Your bank may ask you to confirm a payment before it goes through, usually with a code sent by text message or through your banking app. This is called 3D Secure, and it comes from your bank rather than from us.
If you close the window or the code expires, the payment fails and nothing is charged. You can try again.
Pending and completed charges
A charge can show as pending before it settles. Pending charges usually complete within a few days, and the amount does not change when they do.
Some banks also place a small temporary authorisation to check a card is valid. It disappears on its own and you are not charged for it.
Where to see your charges
Every charge is listed in your Hidden account with the date, the amount, and what it was for. This is the fastest way to check a charge, because it names the creator and the purchase, which your bank statement never does.
How we handle your card
Payments are processed by an encrypted third-party payment processor. Hidden never sees or stores your full card number.
Charges appear on your statement under the name of our billing partner rather than under Hidden.
If a charge looks wrong
Contact us before you open a bank dispute.
A dispute closes our ability to look into the charge or refund you directly, and it takes several weeks either way. If you get in touch first, we can usually tell you what the charge was for the same day.
| Email bill@hidden.com and include all three of these, or we will have to write back and ask. |
| The date the charge appeared |
| The exact amount and currency |
| The last four digits of the card |
Never send us your full card number, your CVV, or your card expiry date. We do not need them and we will never ask for them.
Common questions
+Why was I charged more than the price shown?
Almost always currency conversion or a foreign transaction fee added by your bank. Prices on Hidden are in US dollars and your bank sets its own rate. The amount we charge is exactly the listed price.
+Why are there two charges on the same day?
Each purchase is charged separately. Two subscriptions renewing on the same date, or a subscription and a tip, appear as two charges rather than one combined amount.
+I was charged after I cancelled. Why?
Cancelling stops future renewals, but it does not reverse a renewal that has already been taken. If the charge is dated before you cancelled, it is the renewal for the period you are currently in.
+Can I be charged without buying anything?
No. Every charge comes from a purchase you made or a subscription renewing. Nothing on Hidden bills you unless you subscribed to it.
+Does Hidden store my card details?
No. Your card is held by the payment processor. Hidden never sees your full card number.
