Moderation Guidelines

Last updated 10 August 2026

Everything on Hidden can be moderated, including direct messages. If something you post is not allowed, we remove it and tell you why.

The full rules are in our Terms of Service and Content Guidelines. This page covers what most often causes a problem.

Who can appear in your content

Everyone must be verified as 18 or over
Everyone must have their identity verified and have consented, through the release process
Nobody may present themselves as under 18, including as role-play or fiction
Accounts and content that are wholly AI-generated are not permitted, because there is no verifiable person behind them

This is the area where we have least room to be flexible, and where a mistake costs the most. If someone else will appear in anything, sort out their verification and release before you film rather than after.

What cannot be in the content

Blood, including fake blood, Halloween effects, and BDSM contexts
Violence or anything extreme
Weapons or illegal drugs, including in the background
Nudity in a public place
Hypnosis or mind control themes
References to meeting fans in person, including raffles and competitions
Anything illegal where you are or where it was filmed

Blurring, filtering, or framing something as fictional does not make it permitted. The full list of prohibited categories is in this folder, with an article on each.

Things that catch people out

Most declines are not about the main subject of the post. They are about something in the background: a knife on a kitchen counter, a poster, a screen playing something else, a song with the wrong lyrics, a reflection showing someone who has not consented.

Check the whole frame before you upload, not just the part you were thinking about.

If something is removed

You will be told what and why. Fix it and repost, or ask us to look again if you think we got it wrong. Disagreeing does not count against you, and moderation at volume does produce mistakes.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask before you post it. That takes a minute and saves the rest.
