Consent and verification

Last updated 10 August 2026

Everyone in your content must have agreed to be there, in a way we can verify. This is the most serious set of rules on the platform and the one where a breach can end an account immediately.

In much of the world these are criminal matters rather than policy ones.

Content of someone who did not agree

Nothing intimate involving a person who has not given clear, informed consent, verified through the release process. That includes:

Anything shared without the subject's agreement, whoever recorded it
Anything recorded without the subject's knowledge
Hidden camera footage of any kind
Content where a co-creator's release is missing, incomplete, or incorrect

Check the background as well as the subject. A screen playing something, a photograph on a wall, or a reflection can all contain a person who has not consented.

Depicting a lack of consent

Nothing showing or implying non-consensual sexual activity, even where everyone involved consented to the scene. That includes hypnosis and mind control used as a device for removing consent, and background elements such as text, music, or visuals that suggest it.

The rule is about what the content depicts, not what was agreed between the people making it.

Exchange of sex acts

Nothing advertising, soliciting, or suggesting sexual acts in exchange for money, goods, or services, and nothing arranging or implying meeting in person. This includes anything that reads as an offer even when it was not intended as one.

The line is between selling content, which is what the platform is for, and selling contact, which it is not.

If someone else is in your content

Make sure you have their verification and release before filming, not afterwards. You will need their government-issued ID, a selfie of them holding it, a signed release, and a selfie of them holding the signed release.

There is no exception for a partner, a friend, or another creator, and their verbal agreement is not enough on its own.

If you are the person in the content

If content of you is on Hidden and you did not agree to it, tell us immediately and say that you are the person in it. We treat these ahead of everything else.

The same applies to anything AI-generated using your likeness. See Can I post AI-generated content?
