Why should I subscribe to a Creator?

Following an account is free and shows you a creator's public posts. Subscribing is the paid version, and this is what changes.

What varies by creator
Some creators offer their subscribers things beyond content, such as replying to messages more readily, or discounts on individual posts. These are up to each creator, not features of the platform, so check what a particular account says it offers before subscribing.
How much a creator posts is also entirely up to them. Price is not an indication of how often anyone posts.
Worth knowing before you subscribe
A subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from Account, then Active Subscriptions, and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends.
The period you have paid for is not refunded if you cancel early, so a subscription is best thought of as a month bought upfront rather than something you can stop partway.
Common questions
+Can I see what I would get before I pay?
Most creators post publicly as well, which gives you a sense of what they make. Beyond that, the subscription content is hidden until you subscribe.
+Does subscribing mean a creator will talk to me?
Not necessarily. Some creators are very responsive and others are not, and none of them are obliged to reply. Subscribing buys access to content, not to a person's time.
+What happens if I cancel?
Billing stops and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. See How to cancel a subscription.
+Can I subscribe to several creators at once?
Yes. Each is billed separately, on its own renewal date, at its own price.
