How your posts get approved
Last updated 10 August 2026
Everything you post is checked automatically first. Most go live within seconds. Anything the system is unsure about goes to a person rather than being removed.
The two stages
| 1 | Automatic review Your upload is checked against the guidelines as soon as it arrives. In most cases this takes seconds and the post goes live immediately. |
| 2 | Human review, if needed Anything flagged goes to a moderator rather than being removed automatically. They look at it against the guidelines and either approve it or decline it with a reason. |
A post held for review is not a decision against you. It usually means something in the frame or the audio needs a person to interpret it.
Getting through faster
Tag accurately. A post whose tags do not match its content looks like something it is not, which is one of the more common reasons for a second look.
Check the background. Objects, screens, posters, and other people are what most often triggers a flag, rather than the subject of the post.
Listen to the audio. Music and dialogue are reviewed alongside the video.
If a post is declined
We tell you why. Fix that specific thing and post again, or ask us to look at it a second time if you think it was wrong.
Repeated declines for the same reason affect your account standing, so it is worth reading the reason rather than reposting and hoping.
Common questions
+How long does human review take?
Longer than the automatic check, and it depends on the queue. Get in touch if a post has been sitting for an unusual length of time.
+Are my messages moderated too?
Yes. Direct messages fall under the same guidelines as posts.
+Can I get something checked before posting?
Yes! Ask us if you are unsure. That is a much better use of everyone's time than sorting it out afterwards.
+A post that was live has been removed.
That happens when something is reported or picked up in a later review. You will be told why, and you can ask for it to be reconsidered.
