Payouts and Balances

Everything about your money lives on the Statements page: what you have earned, what you can withdraw yet, and where past payouts got to.
The two balances
| Pending balance | What you have earned in the last 5 business days. Not withdrawable yet. |
| Current balance | Earnings that have cleared the 5 day hold. This is what you can request. |
The hold rolls forward continuously rather than releasing in a batch, so money moves from pending to current every day as each day's earnings age out.
It exists because a payment can be refunded or disputed shortly after it is made. Paying it out immediately would mean clawing it back afterwards, which is worse for everyone.
Adjustments
An adjustment is a correction after the fact. If a fan is refunded, or raises a chargeback on something you were already credited for, that amount comes back off your balance and appears as an adjustment.
The Status column tells you whether earnings were reversed or adjusted. Adjustments can be positive too, for example a correction in your favour or a bonus.
Payout timing
Requests are processed immediately and the money reaches your bank within about 5 business days of the request status changing. It arrives under a billing partner name rather than under Hidden.
Your payout reference number is under Statements, in the Payout Requests tab. Have it to hand for anything you need to ask us about a specific payment.
Common questions
+Why is my current balance lower than what I earned?
Recent earnings are still in your pending balance, and any adjustments have come off. The two together usually explain the difference.
+Can an adjustment take my balance negative?
If refunds or chargebacks exceed what is in your balance, the shortfall is recovered from future earnings.
+Are business days the same as calendar days?
No. Weekends and bank holidays do not count, so a Friday evening earning clears later in the following week rather than on the Wednesday.
+Can I download my earnings history?
Check the Statements page for an export option. If you need something specific for tax purposes, get in touch and tell us what your accountant is asking for.
